The Senior Vice President, Television Development & Production is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations, as well as, the development and production of Alloy Entertainment’s TV division, including current series and large slate of network and cable development projects. This executive works closely with the Chief Creative Officer and President, Alloy Entertainment to determine development goals and targets. Also responsible for managing the relationships with studio, networks, and agencies.
Your Role Accountabilities:
- Packages, organizes, and sells shows to broadcast and cable networks.
- Executes development agenda for the television division.
- Procures new projects by representing Alloy in the creative community. Builds and deepens existing relationships while constantly creating new ones. Attracting talent by presenting a deep knowledge of the work of the writers, directors, and creators.
- Manages TV team, providing creative and strategic management and professional development. Motivates the creative team to find and champion the best ideas and partners, fostering a culture of creative risk-taking by way of example.
- Identifies, attracts, and develops up-and-coming talent.
- Communicates the creative goals and value of Alloy’s intellectual properties to writers, the studio, agents/managers, and buyers.
- Continually analyzes target demographic viewing preferences and trends.
- Communicates status of all projects internally and externally.
- Directs the creative management of television assets.
- Other job-related projects or duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Work Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in television development & production industry
- Previous creative development experience
- Experience with managing and leading a team
- Has had previous experience interacting fluidly with top-level executives and talent
- Studio and/or large production company experience preferred
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- BA/BS degree preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
- Deep knowledge of film and television talent pool
- Excellent industry wide relationships, including but not limited to agents and managers
- Strong sense of series development, i.e. pitch development, story structure, and world building
- Ability to lead and manage team/department
- Interest and knowledge of literature, history and pop culture
- Knowledge and fluency of culture; entertainment; books; art and politics
Other Requirements:

The position is based in Burbank, CA. The salary range for this position is $224,000 to $416,000.
