Oversee end‑to‑end development and sales of Alternative Unscripted series slate, from ideation and development through pitch and sales negotiation, as well as work closely with PSE production team to ensure premium execution of projects.
Distribute script materials and internal project trackers. Provide detailed coverage of incoming script and project submissions as needed Exercise discretion with sensitive or confidential information.
Maintain calendars for Directors and Producers in Development, scheduling and coordinating meetings at their request. Generate and distribute production documents and scripts as needed, including printouts or photocopies.
Seek out and assess pilot proposals, scripts, and pitches. Recruit new creative talent. Work with writers to develop story and scripts.
Organizes a grid of current series, tracking weekly updates and deliverables (decks, sizzles, cuts). Provides pitch material coverage and gives feedback on various decks and sizzles. Reading articles and books looking for potential nonfiction stories.
Writes script coverage and tracks all submissions. Prepares documents such as deal memos, correspondence and expense reports. Proofreads, photocopies and distributes material.
Track and read submissions and writing samples and offer written thoughts/coverage in a timely manner. Offer critical feedback on creative submissions. Support and track ongoing efforts to search for fresh comedic and artistic voices.
Exercises excellent creative and business judgement, especially in spotting the potential in ideas. Manage relationships with creators, directors, producers, production companies, artist representatives and creative community.
