We are looking for an Associate Producer to join The Big Money Show! The Big Money Show is a 2-hour, fast-paced show that features policymakers, business leaders, economists, and high-energy mainstream newsmakers.
As an Associate Producer, you will be responsible for pitching stories, writing compelling scripts for multiple segments, and selecting/building elements in a collaborative team environment. You are well-versed in business news, politics, and current events – and innately curious about everything else. You are a clever writer & excellent researcher who sees value in discovering unique angles and guests that no one else will find.
A Snapshot of Your Responsibilities:
- Produce segments and reporter hits with proven experience writing for TV
- Create compelling banners and graphics
- Find videos to best illustrate the story
- Use video, graphics, and sound bites to help illustrate stories and to help set the segment apart from the herd
- Pitch stories and guests and handle research for a variety of topics
What You Will Need:
- 1-3 years of prior television (or similar) experience
- Strong knowledge of business news, politics, and current events
- Ability to work collaboratively with others under intense deadline pressure
- Ability to work independently and make smart decisions on your own
- Willingness to listen, learn, and grow from constructive criticism
- A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
The position is located in New York City. The salary range is $67,000 to $72,500/year.
