Write stories, guest intros, teases, and banners. Be nimble and able to quickly change/update stories as news breaks and new elements become available.
Assist with multiple aspects of production including: compiling research for production team and talent, creating graphics and lower thirds during breaking news and special coverage, sourcing and transcribing video.
Provide shot-by-shot logs for video specifically selected for permanent archive. Use video hardware to ingest physical media into a digital system. Transcribe important speeches as they pertain to breaking news situations.
Work closely with the Senior Producer and Line Producer to ensure all production elements are in place for seamless live broadcasts during major news events.
Supports all Producers during every phase of their production. Researches & clips videos using Esearch, Volicon or specialty shot footage.
Assist with all aspects of production, from editing VO’s for the broadcast, to coordinating graphics, to pulling elements and researching. Assist producers and senior producers in the development of stories – booking, pre-interviewing, and element-gathering.
Track clients, breaking news stories, industry movement, and trends. Assist in new client discovery, pursuit, and signing. Prepare pitch materials for clients and assist in sending submissions to networks.
Edit news b-roll using Adobe Premier. Create graphics in Spanish for the newscast. Operate studio cameras and broadcasting equipment. Help journalists to cover and develop stories.
