Create original format ideas across priority genres and for specific channels; looking for quick wins, premium tentpoles and returnable franchises. Track briefs, slots, ratings and competitor moves, positioning each idea to the right buyer and time.
Provide significant script coverage for client pitches. Track current and potential clients. Read and engage with material proactively.
Track submissions, maintain project logs, and update the development slate. Track competitive development at other studios and production companies. Track emerging material by spotting high-potential projects, monitor upcoming books, and matching directors or actors with scripts that fit their next move.
Manage and mentor Story Analysts and Readers. Onboard and train new readers on coverage standards. Assign incoming material to staff and freelance readers.
Reading incoming project submissions and providing feedback. Reading project drafts and providing feedback. Contributing to the brainstorming of lists of writers, directors and cast for various projects and checking their availabilities with agencies.
Provide daily operational and administrative support to the Head of Production and as needed, the scripted production team. Prepare and send a daily agenda outlining meetings, priorities, deadlines, and production updates.
Provide high-level administrative support including managing a dynamic calendar, coordinating meetings, and preparing for daily engagements. Act as a trusted liaison between the two Directors of Casting and internal teams, talent representatives, and external partners.
