Seek out and assess pilot proposals, scripts, and pitches. Recruit new creative talent. Work with writers to develop story and scripts.
Organizes a grid of current series, tracking weekly updates and deliverables (decks, sizzles, cuts). Provides pitch material coverage and gives feedback on various decks and sizzles. Reading articles and books looking for potential nonfiction stories.
Writes script coverage and tracks all submissions. Prepares documents such as deal memos, correspondence and expense reports. Proofreads, photocopies and distributes material.
Track and read submissions and writing samples and offer written thoughts/coverage in a timely manner. Offer critical feedback on creative submissions. Support and track ongoing efforts to search for fresh comedic and artistic voices.
Exercises excellent creative and business judgement, especially in spotting the potential in ideas. Manage relationships with creators, directors, producers, production companies, artist representatives and creative community.
