Disney Live Action is looking for a Production Coordinator to support the President, Production and Production team at Walt Disney Studios.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the President, Production on all aspects of physical production.
- Maintain timeline calendars for the entire production slate and priority development titles for Disney Live Action, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures.
- Maintain database of project assignments and coverage across departments.
- Screen production and executive Travel Authorization requests.
- Act as liaison between all related departments including Legal, Business Affairs, Risk Management, Production Technology, Franchise, Creative Development, and physical production.
- Manage incoming materials including maintaining lists & contracts, databases, researching information, compiling, archiving, and securing files.
- Provide administrative support to the President including scheduling meetings, screening phone calls, organizing digital files, and undertaking various research projects.
- Arrange, book travel, and manage expense reports for the President.
- Occasional script analysis required (breakdown sets, cast & location).
- Special projects as required by the production team as needed.
- Miscellaneous departmental duties as needed, including craft services and office supply management.
- Occasional note-taking in department meetings.
- Organize meetings with visiting production companies and film commissions.
- Light event organization and planning, as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in physical production or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with production documentation (e.g. call sheets, one-line schedules, day-out-of-days, production reports, script supervisor reports).
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly.
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism.
- Strong assistant skills are a must (phones, calendars, contacts).
- Ability to resolve routine issues proactively and raise complex issues to management.
- Ability to work with highly confidential material.
- Strong writing skills: Must be confident to draft official Disney memorandums, required government documentation, and filmmaker endorsements.
- Strong verbal communication: must be confident to have informed discourse with peers, high-level Executives, and star talent.
- Ability to take initiative and work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours, when necessary.
The hiring salary range for this position in Burbank, CA is $53,200 to $68,700 per year.
