The Walt Disney Studios has an opening in our Live-Action Motion Picture Production team in Physical Production. Our intern will interact with several departments (Finance, Legal, Creative, Post Production, VFX, Marketing, Franchise, Emerging Technology, Animal Sciences, etc.). To gain a broad understanding of Feature Film Production from the Studio perspective. If selected for this role, you will report to the Manager, Physical Production.
What You Will Do:
- Assist with various stages of Development, Prep, Production, and Post Production
- Attend and help set up internal studio meetings and meetings with our productions
- Distribute and track Below the Line contracts
- Read any and all available scripts
- Work on various Research and Development projects including crafting set lists, tracking crew availability per project, script comparisons, pulling images, acquiring location packages from films commissions, etc.
- Maintain digital files and assets on department server and online database
- Various Special Projects
- Occasionally work as a production assistant on an in-town film, if available
- General office support (e.g., answer phones, re-stocking supplies, print/copy, basic tech support)
- Go on runs for the team as needed
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
- Experience with researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings
- High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior internship experience in production field
- The ability to take initiative while providing support
- Strong listening, comprehension & communication skills
- Strong computer skills as projects may require spreadsheet, database, and presentation skills.
- Understanding of office procedures, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- General understanding of film production and industry concepts and players, with an eagerness to learn
- Primary interest in a career in the field of live action production (Producing, Basic Crafts, Visual Effects, Editorial, etc.)
Education:
- Current junior or senior level student with a Film & Television Production major (or minor) with either some background in Film, Television, and/or Visual Effects.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information:
- This internship is a full-time commitment from January 2026-June 2026
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this internship in Burbank , California is $22.50 per hour.
