Managing complex scheduling, production documentation, reporting, travel logistics, payment processing, and cross-department coordination across multiple scripted television projects.
Duties include teaching 5 courses per year, mentoring undergraduate students, and participating in departmental and/or school-wide committees and events. Ongoing professional work is encouraged and expected.
Responsibilities may include assisting with development, reading and evaluating scripts and other material, researching projects and talent, supporting productions, and helping with the day-to-day needs of a busy production company.
Identify, source, and evaluate Japanese manga, anime, and novels for film and television adaptation, while proactively exploring emerging and less conventional sources of Japanese IP.
Evaluate the quality of scripts and offer creative feedback. Track writers and directors. Seek out and assess pilot proposals, scripts, and pitches.
Work closely with producers to find and coordinate all aspects of TV news segments.
Lead the editorial development and story lining for an 8–12 episode season, collaborating closely with the Showrunner and a team of six writers through the script commissioning and redrafting process.
Assist in preparing coverage, script notes, and creative feedback materials under the guidance of the Junior Executive and senior executives.
Track budgets, payments and other financial transactions as needed. Track represented materials, clients, and potential clients. Assist with project management, research, and compiling information and materials as needed.
