We are excited to offer a 6 month opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Production Trainee. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in Television production, preparing you for full-time regular employment at a broadcast station.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a floor director during live and pre-taped broadcasts.
- Read and follow rundowns, adapting to changes as they occur.
- Ensure talent is in their correct positions on time.
- Operate ETC lighting board, JIB camera, target Vinten robotic pedestals, and other equipment.
- Load and operate the prompter.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Ability to take direction, work well with others, and perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn production equipment post-hire.
- College degree, preferably in Journalism or Broadcasting, and be a recent graduate (within one year or less).
The position is located in Atlanta, Georgia.
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $12 to $15 per hour.
