Personal Assistant for the BBC Film Team (UK)

December 18, 2025

We are looking for an exceptional Personal Assistant to join the BBC Film team. In this role, you will provide vital support to senior managers, enabling the team to deliver outstanding feature films that inform, educate, and entertain audiences. Your contribution will help BBC Film maintain its position at the forefront of British independent filmmaking

BBC Film is the feature film-making arm of the BBC, co-producing around twelve films each year. We work with leading UK and international distributors to create bold, ambitious British films. Our commitment to discovering new talent and collaborating with top writers and directors makes this an exciting opportunity to be part of a creative, dynamic environment that shapes the future of cinema.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Provide high-level administrative and PA support to multiple senior managers within BBC Film.
  • Act as the first point of contact for commissioners, ensuring a professional and positive experience for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage complex and constantly changing diaries, ensuring commissioners are fully prepared for meetings and engagements.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and handle related logistics.
  • Proactively manage correspondence, prioritising information and responding confidently when required.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and assist managers in achieving business objectives.
  • Champion new ways of working and technology to improve efficiency and support divisional goals.

Your Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience providing high-level PA support in a fast-paced environment, ideally within film or broadcasting.
  • Understanding of film development, production processes, and industry structure.
  • Expertise in managing multiple, complex diaries and prioritising competing demands.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and file management systems.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to handle confidential information with tact.

Desired but Not Required:

  • Previous experience in the film industry or a creative environment.
  • Familiarity with BBC systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of international travel arrangements and visa requirements.
  • Experience supporting senior executives in a large organisation.
  • A genuine passion for film and the creative industries.

If you can bring some of these skills and experience, along with transferable strengths, we’d love to hear from you and encourage you to apply.

The salary range is £32,000 to £42,000/year depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

How to Apply:
Apply online before January 2, 2026.
