Responsibilities may include assisting with development, reading and evaluating scripts and other material, researching projects and talent, supporting productions, and helping with the day-to-day needs of a busy production company.
Identify, source, and evaluate Japanese manga, anime, and novels for film and television adaptation, while proactively exploring emerging and less conventional sources of Japanese IP.
Provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of drama productions, ensuring delivery across development, production and post is aligned with creative ambition, budget and schedule.
Oversee all aspects of development from concept through greenlight, including script development, packaging, and talent attachment.
Collaborate closely with production partners, writers and directors throughout the development process. Identify and cultivate relationships with top french creative talent, production companies, and literary sources.
Oversee scripted content projects through development, production, and post-production. Partner with show producers, line producers, production managers, and creative executives to assess budgets, schedules, and production plans.
In conjunction with the Development Director, to update the label’s development slate and be responsible for other departmental development logs, databases and systems.
Serve as first point of contact with clients, Agents and Executives. Provide significant script coverage for client pitches. Track current and potential clients.
Support executives on creative evaluation and assessment. Support the development process as projects progress through the pipeline.
