Programming Associate for NBC News (NY)

The NBC News Group is looking for a Programming Associate.

Responsibilities:

  • Publish episodes of NBC News series to Peacock; ensure they appear on platform correctly.
  • Set up and manage metadata for NBC News programs on NBCUniversal’s iOS/web app.
  • Coordinate resources for STB/VOD records; flag pre-emptions to various teams.
  • Create records for show timings in NBCU program (OTTO).
  • Manage calendar for a high-level executive.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year working in television.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a media related field.
  • Extremely detail oriented and opening to learning new skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond during off-hours.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or a program scheduling software.
  • Understanding of television production terms.
  • Appreciation and understanding of news.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
  • Self-starter with a positive outlook on life and sense of humor.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.
  • Must be willing to work in NYC.
  • This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

The salary range is $65,000 to $75,000/year.
